ALICE SHOPS

And what did Alice Waters purchase last Saturday at the Sur La Table in the Ferry Building? Charming French paring knives.  Or more precisely ‘traditional French paring knives...perfect for peeling, coring and other small, delicate tasks.’ Surely these must have been for a pique-nique? Hard to imagine a chef at Chez Panisse hacking away at a wild boar with a wooden handled paring knife. Even if it is French.

Maybe she was late...never once considering, once she was down that rabbit hole how she will ever get out again.

Can you believe how funny this is?

So in the last few days you have seen Martha, shared cocktails (sort of) with Tony, and now, you have shopped (if vicariously) with Alice. ... What's next? Dinner with Gary? Mr. Scharffenburger himself on a day trip to Stinson? You are magical!! Really, are they coming to see you, and you did not know it?
