On the ninth day we take a nap so that we can stay up late and spend the evening listening to ONLY WILD WOMEN GET THE BLUES on KCSM 91.1 FM radio. This is the 15th year that Alisa Clancy and Kathleen Lawton have hosted this rowdy evening of blues and jazz. Always scheduled for the Friday before Christmas, the program begins at 9 pm. Put the kids to bed first as it can get raucous once these gals have had a couple glasses of fake pink champagne. While you are there, why not make a donation to support this commercial free jazz station -a great present for the jazz lovers on your gift list.
I just have to say after finding the link to your blog on Christine Cooks, what a great blog. I have book marked the KCFM radio and your blog too. I used to go to Davis Senior High School with Christine...many moons ago!! I have also visited San Francisco many times. My husband loves jazz but our only jazz radio station here in England is mainly soul now and we don't get good reception. I have told my husband he will now have to learn how to switch on the computer so he can listen to it. Please can you add me to the list of people you send your blog to. I don't have a blog at the moment although Christine keeps asking me to start one. Once my son is over his course of chemotherapy I might just start.
Regards Anne
