oh lovley! an english sweet shop my mother was from birmingham england came over to america in 1946 on the queen mary as an american gi bride ill visit the shop soon as me dear old mum would have loved me too!!

hmm.. I haven't been to Fiona's yet either but I'll probably try it soon. I did just go to Miette Confiserie, and loved it. I first heard about it in an article by Amy Sherman:

Sam, I believe they do have the sherbet Pips. Let me know if they are just as good as you remembered.

I grew up with a corner store that still sold penny candies, even in the early 80's. I remember filling up a bag for $2 and running home to horde it away for the week. I'll be checking this shop out on Thursday, maybe find a few treasures.
